Ethiopia Uraga Raro
Established in 2018, Raro Boda washing station is in the village of Raro Boda, on the eastern edge of Uraga. This site buys from around 700 small scale farmers in the area. Coffee is collected from very high altitudes surrounding the station, up to 2250 meters above sea level. Last year there was investment in their wet processing equipment, specifically, upgrading their fermentation tanks to ceramic which is much easier to keep clean than cement. They produce both wet and dry process coffee.
This coffee makes for a very special pour over brew. The floral fragrance and aromatics are potent, with sweetness of honeysuckle and accents of peach. A clean, fruity cup of coffee that tastes very similar to that of an iced peach tea.
